All Eyes on Us

29 May 2013

During the opening ceremony of the London 2012, Paralympic Games, Stephen Hawking told an audience of millions to look to the stars. When they looked up they saw an entire cast of disabled performers high in the sky on trapezes, ropes and perched upon gravity-defying poles.

All Eyes On Us tells the story of the making of this spectacular ceremony through the inspiring stories of four of the performers who took part.

Eelyn Lee and her crew of local young filmmakers were granted unique access to rehearsals taking place in secret locations around East London.

The film captures the spirit of an Olympic summer and questions whether the Paralympics really did make a difference to how we perceive disability.

'a truly beautiful film that captures the spirit of the whole thing. It is an honest testimony of the journey the four performers went on'
Jenny Sealey, Co-Artistic Director of the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games
