Have you ever wondered why you couldn't concentrate in lectures or you were continuously being told to stop fidgeting in class? Maybe it's because your learning style wasn't catered for at school. Maybe you prefer a more visual or 'hands on' approach to learning rather than the auditory methods favoured by traditional teaching techniques.

Presented by Kat B [MTV / Choice FM], this short form documentary takes an overview of the groundbreaking work currently being carried out in schools in East London around how we learn. It explores how creative teaching methods can provide the key to personalised learning.

Estuaries

Collaboration with Mundo Nuevo / Funded by Arts Council

In partnership with Dominique Le Gendre, artistic director & composer from Mundo Nuevo, Eelyn Lee is researching and developing a project that explores themes around immigration using the metaphor of the estuary as city. The research will inform the beginnings of a devised piece of music theatre that combines video with performance and live music.

Favella

Collaboration with Mundo Nuevo / Funded by Arts Council

Eelyn Lee Productions is currently working with Brazilian animator Helio Pelosi to develop an ambitious project with young people living in the 'ghettos' of Rio. The project would take place at 'Spectacular' a school set up by filmmakers and artists to train young people in media skills and would last a full academic year.

Designed for 30 participants, Favella would involve weaving stories and characters inspired by the experiences of the young people to create an animated feature film.
